When making an improvement to your home remember a pool is not likely to bring you as much money as the original cost. A minor kitchen update, redoing the cupboards, new counters, a new sink will bring you more than a major kitchen update.

Of course this is only good if you are going to do all this work and sell your home pretty quickly. If you do this work and then not sell, it will soon be used and outdated again.
